Blue and Crabby
6x6, Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Day Twenty-Six of the 30 in 30 Challenge. Wow, the month seems to be flying by! There are just four days left in this painting challenge. Continuing with my series, "In My Neighborhood", I thought I would paint something different. Some people in my area actually go down to the neighborhood dock and catch these crabs! Next to shrimp, crab is my next favorite food. This guy was really fun to paint. I had a gallery wrap canvas just waiting to be used. The advantage of using this type of substrate is it's easy to handle, unlike the flat panels. The other advantage is, when it is dry, it's ready to hang! No frame needed. I used a big brush for most of the painting, and then added a few touches at the end with a palette knife. Pure fun!
Thank you for following me through this challenge. I appreciate your support.
