Open Sky study

Open Sky study
12x12 inches, Gallery Wrap Canvas

Day 26  --  30 Paintings in 30 Days

It's unusual for me to post twice in one day, but I really wanted to catch up.  This painting is actually a study for a 36x36 painting I'm working on.  Sometimes I have a difficult time working on small panels, other than when I'm painting plein air.  Also I want to use up my supply of gallery wrap canvases ... I have too many!

  1. Beautiful sky Linda, love this one!Do you paint from life or sketches or photos? I have problems with landscapes as I am doing them from photos!

  4. Thank you Anita and Darla for your nice comments.

Margaret, I do paint plein air a lot, but I have to admit many of these 30 in 30 paintings were painted in my studio. My greatesst reference is living where the view overlooks a marsh ... it's the best reference! Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it.
