Landing Pad

Landing Pad
6x8, Original Oil on Panel

Day 9 of 30 in 30.  I enjoy watching the  coastal birds come in at low tide. It's amazing how long they can stand in one place, totally motionless.  Then they spot their prey, and they're off!  I used a combination of palette knife and brush on this one.  There is actually a warmer color in the foreground, but it doesn't show up.  I'll try to retake the photo.

  1. You're gonna laugh when you see tomorrow's painting. A couple of days ago I finished a marsh scene with an egret prowling the edges and it is scheduled for posting at midnight tonight. It's not nearly as good as yours, but by the end of thirty days I think I'll be getting the hang of it.

  3. I love bird watching. This is lovely Linda. The blues in the water are especially nice.

  8. I think your sky is very nice - I can hear the quiet of this marshy area.
